Women’s Mental Health & Trauma Care
Integrative Mental Health Support for Women
At 4Winds, we provide integrative mental health care for women seeking deeper recovery from conditions such as:
- Anxiety disorders
- Trauma-linked depression
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Complex trauma
- Chronic burnout
- Nervous system dysregulation
- Emotional numbness or disconnection
Many of the women who come to 4Winds have already pursued therapy, medication management, or wellness practices. They are not new to the work of healing, but they may still feel stuck in patterns that insight alone has not shifted.
Our programs are designed to support women who are ready to move beyond symptom management and toward sustainable mental health recovery.
A Holistic and Integrative Approach to Women’s Mental Health
Mental health recovery requires more than addressing symptoms in isolation.
At 4Winds, care is built around a holistic, integrative model that considers the full context of a woman’s experience: psychological, physiological, relational, and environmental.
Our mental health programs may incorporate:
- Licensed individual psychotherapy
- Trauma-informed clinical care
- Somatic Experiencing® for nervous system regulation
- Jungian-informed shadow exploration
- Psychedelic-assisted therapy (where clinically appropriate and legally supported)
- Group integration and relational healing work
- Breathwork and embodied practices
- Equine-assisted therapeutic experiences
Together, these modalities help women move beyond intellectual awareness into embodied mental health recovery.
When Mental Health Challenges Are Rooted in Trauma
For many women, anxiety, depression, and chronic stress are not isolated conditions.
They are expressions of an underlying nervous system that has been shaped by trauma, whether from a single event, long-term relational dynamics, or years of cumulative stress.
This is why trauma-informed care is central to the 4Winds model.
By addressing trauma at its root, women are able to:
- Regulate chronic stress responses
- Rebuild a felt sense of internal safety
- Reconnect with their body and intuition
- Shift long-standing emotional and behavioral patterns
- Restore clarity, resilience, and vitality
Healing is not about eliminating every difficult emotion.
It is about restoring the nervous system’s capacity to respond to life with flexibility and stability.
Mental Health Care in a Contained, Supportive Environment
The environment in which healing takes place matters.
Located on 134 secluded acres in the Colorado Rockies, 4Winds provides a private, women-only campus designed to support emotional safety and deep therapeutic work.
Here, women are surrounded by:
- Experienced clinicians and facilitators
- A community of women engaged in similar work
- A structured daily rhythm that supports regulation and recovery
- Access to nature, land-based experiences, and restorative quiet
This contained environment allows mental health work to unfold at a depth that is often difficult to achieve in traditional outpatient settings.
Mental Health Recovery That Leads to Integration
Many women arrive at 4Winds with deep insight into their own experiences.
What they seek is integration: the process through which understanding becomes lived change.
Through immersive care, relational support, and nervous system-focused work, women are able to translate insight into sustainable mental health recovery.
The goal is not perfection.
It is stability, clarity, and the ability to move through life without the constant weight of unresolved trauma.
