Our Women’s Recovery Program in Colorado
Centered around mental health and wellbeing, our 30- or 90-day women’s residential recovery program offers a holistic approach to healing on 125 acres of farmland surrounded by Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
Whether our residents are seeking to recover from trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, or just the stress of everyday life, we dissolve diagnostic categories by integrating the physical, psycho-emotional, energetic and spiritual aspects of our being.
Recover from Trauma. Heal the Mind.
Our customized programs for women’s recovery and wellness benefit those who are seeking a deeper understanding of co-occurring mental health issues, traumas, bipolar disorder and depression, addiction, anxiety, and lack of energy/vitality.
Our alternative treatments for mental health do not require compliance to any one theoretical model or method of treatment. Each patient is evaluated with a full psychosocial and interpersonal assessment prior to treatment to determine a personalized approach to their recovery plan.
Mindful Work on the Farm
Our Colorado wellness and recovery center provides purposeful farm-work sessions throughout the day that include gardening and care for the farm animals. Woven throughout daily ‘tasks’ are the concepts and practices of quiet mindfulness and the ‘Zen/qigong’ state of being present and ‘one’ with the ‘work.’
Holistic Healing Therapies
The therapy and educational sessions in our holistic women’s recovery program may include somatic experiencing (SE), meditation practices, cultural exploration, dietary/cooking/lifestyle skills, nutrition, acupuncture, massage, medical qigong, taijiquan, yoga, art, and medicine wheel equine and recreational therapies.
An understanding of the body’s chakra system, archetypal patterns, brain, breath and nervous systems will also be explored.
Rest and Nourishment for Body and Mind
Private lodging, organic locally sourced meals, and daily therapeutic and educational sessions are included at our women’s residential recovery center in Glenwood Springs, CO.
In practicing complementary, alternative and integrative medicine, we seek to support the care of the resident’s existing physicians and therapists. If a specific condition is not listed here, we may still be able to provide the care required; if not, we can refer women needing help to the right place.
We Are Not
an in-patient mental health facility, nor do we take mandated clients from correctional facilities. All clients are admitted on a voluntary basis, and screened for their desire to recover their mental health and wellbeing.
