BRIGETTE SCHABDACH

Brigette has been a Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Therapist since 2014, graduating from Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Institute (SETI) in Boulder, Colorado. She co-founded 4Winds in 2015, driven by her passion for supporting women in healing trauma, reclaiming personal power, and fostering transformation through integrative, holistic therapies.
Her practice blends cutting-edge modalities with deep respect for traditional wisdom. Brigette is trained in the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), an acoustic vagus nerve stimulator developed by Dr. Stephen Porges based on Polyvagal Theory, and she incorporates Jungian psychology and archetypal frameworks through the Organizational and Team Culture Indicator™ (OTCI™) to facilitate insight, healing, and personal transformation. She is also a certified Brainspotting® therapist under David Grand, PhD, and a Radical Forgiveness coach.
In addition to these contemporary therapeutic practices, Brigette honors and shares the traditional Indigenous and historical teachings of the horse nations, integrating this knowledge into her equine-assisted and somatic work to guide clients toward profound healing and reconnection. Her background in energy and mind-body practices includes a Qigong certification from the Shen Zheng International Qigong Society (2008) and a certification in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy from The Center for Medicinal Mindfulness (2022).
JOEL PROCTOR

Joel Proctor is a licensed acupuncturist and co-founder of 4Winds, dedicated to guiding individuals on their path to healing and personal growth. He earned his Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 1995, and holds national certification in acupuncture and Chinese herbology (NCCAOM), as well as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM).
For over 30 years, Joel has studied with esteemed masters in Chinese martial and cultivation arts, including Qigong, Taiji (Tai Chi), and Shaolin Five Animals Kung Fu. He founded the Mystic Warrior School of Integrative Arts, where he taught martial arts and medical Qigong, emphasizing their philosophical, cosmological, and healing aspects.
Joel’s work integrates these Eastern practices with traditional Indigenous and historical teachings of the horse nations, offering clients a unique blend of somatic, spiritual, and equine-assisted methods to foster deep healing, personal transformation, and connection to body, mind, and spirit.

With over 15 years of corporate experience, she helps clients navigate personal recovery while building confidence, resilience, and productivity in all areas of life.
A natural entrepreneur, Dora brings strong business, marketing, and financial expertise to her coaching practice. Her career spans roles in marketing and product management at Fortune 200 companies like P&G and Western Union, as well as launching her own direct-selling business—reaching the top 2% in rank in under seven months. Her mission is fueled by helping others become the best version of themselves, blending strategic guidance with compassionate, individualized support.

Mary Beth Keil, RN, brings over 20 years of nursing and client care experience to her role as Case Manager and Nurse at 4Winds. Having spent 25 years at Johns Hopkins, she offers a depth of clinical expertise and compassionate care that enhances every aspect of the client experience.
Living on-site at 4Winds, Mary Beth manages treatment plans and ensures each guest’s therapeutic journey is supported with attention, empathy, and professionalism. Her steady presence and wealth of experience help create an environment where holistic healing can truly take root.

Mary Cate Hauenstein is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Psychedelic Guide with dual master’s degrees in Somatic Psychotherapy and Counseling. With decades of experience, she integrates evidence-based therapy with ancient wisdom traditions, drawing from yoga, meditation, Sri Vidya Tantra, and Ayurveda to support deep healing and transformation.
Guided by her dharma — “I create a way so that others can find theirs” — Mary Cate helps women move beyond survival into authentic growth and fulfillment. Her compassionate, integrative approach fosters alignment of mind, body, and spirit for lasting well-being.

Julie DeVilbiss, BSN, CCH, FES, is a holistic nurse dedicated to guiding women back into alignment with the innate healing intelligence of their bodies. Lynette Two Bulls, Oglala Lakota, is the co-founder and Executive Director of Yellow Bird, a non-profit dedicated to honoring traditional principles of reciprocity and giving back to Native communities. She has traveled extensively, teaching and sharing her knowledge of Indigenous history, culture, and healing practices.
Under her leadership, Yellow Bird’s programs have evolved from the Annual Fort Robinson Outbreak Spiritual 400-Mile Run—a powerful venue addressing historical trauma, wellness, and youth leadership—into a comprehensive platform that includes Youth Leadership & Empowerment, Arts & Culture, Food Sovereignty, Wellness, Social and Environmental Justice, and Community Development.
Lynette’s work blends her extraordinary experiences in high finance, traditional dance, and workshop-based education with the arts of storytelling, song, dance, and horsemanship. She helps individuals and communities reconnect with their histories, cultures, and ways of being, fostering healing, empowerment, and cultural continuity.

Jennifer McCalib holds a Master’s degree in Integrative and Functional Nutrition and brings a functional, whole-body approach to her work with clients. She assesses how nutrients impact different body systems and creates personalized, practical food plans that support overall health—such as using healthy fats and amino acids for muscle building, ginger and garlic for immune support, or fermented foods to balance the microbiome. Her integrative approach ensures nutrition is part of a holistic health plan, coordinated with your healthcare providers.
Jennifer is also a certified Neurodiverse Breathwork Practitioner, using breathwork techniques to help regulate the nervous system, release stored trauma, and support mind-body healing. By combining functional nutrition with trauma-informed breathwork, she guides clients toward deeper resilience, vitality, and wellness.
In addition to her clinical work, Jennifer prepares all locally sourced, anti-inflammatory meals on the farm, teaches cooking classes, and spends time in the gardens, helping clients connect with food, nature, and the healing process from the ground up.

She is a Certified Massage Therapist, Hatha Yoga teacher, EFT practitioner, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Access Bars practitioner, and founder of Illuminating Wellness and Whole Being-Well Being Retreats.
Kate believes there is no single path to health—each person’s journey is unique. Through calming the “wheel-spinning” monkey mind, exploring individualized exercise, discovering your relationship to food, embracing self-love, and deepening spiritual connection, she helps clients uncover their personal path to well-being.

Melanie Burgdorf integrates somatic archery and equine therapy to guide individuals on a journey of healing, empowerment, and self-discovery. Drawing from over 17 years of horsemanship and a deep personal practice in somatics, she helps clients reconnect with their inner strength and reorganize their experience around trauma through body-based awareness and presence.

MARTHA HAMMEL, MS, CNS
Integrative & Functional Nutritionist | Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist | Neuro-Nutrient Recovery Specialist
Martha Ann Hammel is a Certified Nutrition Specialist, natural-food chef, and psychedelic educator committed to helping clients heal through integrative, science-based approaches. She earned her Master’s in Nutrition and Integrative Health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2016, with a thesis exploring the intersection of emotional trauma, addiction, and gut health.
Specializing in brain health, gut health, depression, eating disorders, addiction recovery, and stress response, Martha uses functional medicine and amino acid therapy to rebalance mood and neurotransmitter function. She is trained as a Neuro-Nutrient Recovery Specialist, supporting clients who are reducing pharmaceutical medications or substance use.
Martha has advanced training in Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy through the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness and completed a practicum in Ketamine-Assisted Psychedelic Therapy. She also trains integration coaches on “Being True to You,” providing preparation and support for clients receiving ketamine therapy. Her work is further informed by collaboration with medical cannabis expert Dr. Joe Cohen, supporting dementia, autoimmune conditions, gut health, and eating disorders.
A passionate activist, Martha advocates for psychedelic policy reform and harm reduction in Colorado. She also integrates holistic food practices, preparing locally sourced, anti-inflammatory meals, teaching cooking classes, and connecting clients to the healing power of nature and nutrition.

Alexandra Whitney is a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapist specializing in nervous system regulation, mind-body interventions, and East-West psychology. Her heart- and body-centered approach integrates biodynamic listening, Somatic Experiencing®, mindfulness, and Western psychological practices to enhance heart-brain coherence, helping the body restore its natural ability to heal trauma, recover from addiction, and address stress-related mind-body conditions.
Since 2018, Alexandra has collaborated with Dr. Peter A. Levine’s Ergos Institute of Somatic Education and the Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Institute (SETI) to develop effective SE-based protocols for combat and military service–related PTSD. She is also the Principal Investigator for the Returning Home Project, a research study based on the 2019 Returning Home retreat in Northport, Maine, which has demonstrated promising clinical outcomes in trauma recovery.
