Holistic retreats + Immersion Therapy

Though they may vary in the scope of focus, the holistic wellness retreats at 4Winds Farm revolve around the interconnectedness of the mind, body, spirit and earth.

Our Colorado wellness center in the Roaring Fork Valley provides a gathering place for all people: a place of protection, peace, contemplation and centering. Our retreats offer participants the tools to improve their mental health and heal, whether it is from unresolved traumas, depression or the effects of day-to-day stress and anxiety.

Taking place on 134 acres surrounded by the Rocky Mountains in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, our holistic wellness retreats include Somatic Experiencing, exposure therapy (CWI), CBT, DBT, IPEC life coaching, nutrition, yoga, qigong, massage, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and equine therapy based on the medicine wheel model.

Outdoor recreation therapies are plentiful, from mountain biking, hiking, therapeutic archery, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Somatic Experiencing Therapy is a body-oriented modality that helps heal trauma and other stress disorders. Developed by Peter Levine, Ph.D., it is the result of the multidisciplinary study of stress physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, indigenous healing practices, and medical biophysics, with more than 45 years of successful application.

Compassionate Inquiry Therapy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on self-awareness and self-compassion. “The purpose of the Compassionate Inquiry is to drill down to the core stories people tell themselves – to get them to see what story they are telling themselves unconsciously; what those beliefs are, where they came from; and guide them to the possibility of letting go of those stories, or letting go of the hold those stories have on them … That’s what Compassionate Inquiry is.” ~ Dr. Gabor Maté

Brainspotting Therapy locates points in the client’s visual field that help to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain. Brainspotting (BSP) was discovered in 2003 by David Grand, Ph.D.

In addition to our weekly holistic immersion retreats, we offer 30-, 60- and 90-day women’s residential trauma resolution programs.
